Is Your DJ Service Certified and Insured?   3 Reasons to insist YES!

It seems that today’s DJs have one common goal. Money! However, I have many other goals on top of making money. Getting paid is only part of being a DJ. You have to satisfy the client, be prepared, and present yourself in a professional manner. In order to do all of these things, a DJ MUST be insured and certified! What if something happens and the DJ isn’t insured? This business is fast-paced and involves a lot of people, equipment and risk. You need to have each event covered in order to feel secure about your DJ service.  Here are a few reasons why:

The DJ will be responsible for equipment mishaps — not you!

Equipment: The DJ service needs coverage for any failure, mishap or accident that may occur at an event. Don’t be in denial about accidents because they DO and WILL happen! Equipment can fall, catch fire, blow out circuits, etc. These are just a few examples of things that can happen at your event. The DJ needs insurance!

Your venue won’t turn your DJ away for not being insured!

Insured: It is the Dj’s job to provide insurance for the client that hired him/her and the venue that they are performing in. Many venues require insurance in order to perform in their building. The insurance guarantees coverage for any incidents that may happen while performing.

Certification lets you trust your DJ’s knowledge and skill!

Certification: This just means that the DJ has experience. They have spent many hours at trade school learning and perfecting the art of DJ-ing. Certified DJs are considered professionals in this line of work.
